STM32CubeIDE (MCUs)

Hello, I have an stm processor (stm32h7b3zitx) connected to an ST Link V3 that is on an ubuntu server. My goal is to connect to the ST Link and run a remote debugging session from my windows laptop running the stm32CubeIDE. To accomplish this I have been running st-util -v -p 61234 on the ubuntu server and using the following debugging configuration in the cube ide.I am port forwarding via an ssh connection to expose port 61234 on my windows machine. When I go to debug, I get the following errorI've attached the verbose gdb log from host machine and the verbose st-util log from the ubuntu server to this post. I'm wondering what steps I can take to resolve this. Thanks in advanced to all who view this!

I'm looking for a way to have cubeIDE read from a .bin or .txt file on windows 11 and insert it's contents into a string array in my code during the build process. So, if we have a file called "file.bin" stored somewhere on windows. and inside this file we have "Text from file.bin"In our code we haveunsigned char string[];After build we haveunsigned char string[] = "Text from file.bin"  

Hi everyone,I’m currently trying to debug my project. However, as soon as I start the debugger, I always get the following error message: "No source available for main() at 0x80048bc". Hi allLooking for a way to use macro with external pins ,in a .h file, like I use for variables.I have a "Global_Var.h" for all external variable like ex: "extern unsigned char gucSPI_ERR"and in the "SPI.c" I have the "#include Global_Var.h" and "unsigned char gucSPI_ERR"  after it,and everything works fine.But since I have some pins that I use for MARKERS like ex: "gmMarker1_ON" and and "gmMarker1_OFF"to be used with a logic analyzer, I can't find a way to do itI have this "#define gmMarker1 _ON()   HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_0, GPIO_PIN_SET);                  #define gmMarker1_OFF()   HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_0, GPIO_PIN_RESET);"in the "SPI.c" and work fine but since I want to use it from any other files, what would be the best way to do that.I'm an old PIC programmer but now I need to use STM32 for more power and memories..For now I'm on Nuleo-L432KC but will soon move

I'm trying to flash a STM32H723ZG with STM32CubeIDE 1.14.0 and ST-LINK V2 and use OSPI peripheral to communicate with the W25Q256 external flash as QSPIand I have this error:(I have tried all the suggestions given in the community to solve this problem, but I still haven't got any results. Have you fixed the project opening problem with CubeIDE?You mustn't open the generated project, mustn't import the project, you only can use the button in the MX message-window, "open project". If you don't, you cannot compile the project.After that, new errors are coming: PDSC version is not supported. There is no "PDSC settings" in the projekt, so what is it?These applications (CubeIDE + MX + MC SDK) are still unstable and very slow products!

hello we want to use cube debuger in debug whith the qspi. We have some data in the qspi programed by my bootloader or whith the cube programer  Qspi is MX25L51245G we have test them and it is running well the linker QSPI (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x90000000, LENGTH = 32M My data declared as .extflash_data : { KEEP(*(.extflash_data)) } >QSPI We have test the program with my bootloader it was OK. We want now use the project with the debugger : how we can remove the programation of QSPI when we enter in debug?

I have problems with using Memory Management Tool (MMT) in CubeMX v6.15.0 and CubeIDE is v1.19.0. When I install and run CubeIDE 1.1.19, it is blocked by KITE Keeper security and cannot be executed. When I asked the server administrator, they said that orbitum.exe runs and prevents it from launching. Is orbitum.exe included in the IDE package?

Hi,I have latest version of STM32CubeIDE software . After I logged into the tool, it does not show the user name as it was in previous versions. When I try to login using help -> STM32Cube update -> connect to myST, it says, it will  display message "Clear myST account information for this session" if I have already logged in, else it ask for use id and password. I tried with wrong password to see if it checks, I get a failure notice. If I use the correct password, the login window disappears, signalling that my login is correctIDE version 1.19.0

Hi,I have used CubeIDE for 2 years, recently the Project Explorer view disappears occasionally, and I found ctrl-m can recover it, but now it's gone completely, ctrl-m doesn't work, Window->Show View->Project Explorer doesn't work neither.Anybody knows how to recover it?Chao

Just download the latest version from ST web and installed Linux version of the STM32IDE tools chain. It is Debian Linux 12, updated and upgraded. No hardware display card. Use the Intel i5 COP internal display card. Display is small on 4k screen. If I switched to 2k resolution, display size is normal. An idea on setting the software to expect a 4k screen?  Many thanks

Hello, I have recently upgradated STM32CubeIDE from v.1.13.2 to v.1.14.0.The upgrade seems has gone well, as indicated in the Help->About window:Anyway, if i check the window installed application list, is still indicated the previous version:Also, in the file system I continue to see the old version 1.13.2, but not the new one 1.14.0.This doesn't seem to be very clear and I am a little bit confused.Is it better to disinstall a reinstall STM32CubeIDE?Regards,Carlo 

Hi,We are developing a desktop application on Python using Qt's PySide6 library and one of our goals is to build a STM32CubeIDE project from this application. I have read that we can achieve this via command line. I can successfully run command line prompts from Python but what I wanted to ask is that should we use `stm32cubeide` from command line, which makes STM32CubeIDE is a dependency for our project, or should we use another compiler like `gcc` or `eclipse` headless builds? Installing EGit for Eclipse 6.7.0 in STM32CubeIDE 1.19.0 stops the display of Help Topic contents.I have a clean install of CubeIDE.Opening menu item: Help -> Help Contents opens the Help window OKOpening menu item: Help -> Show Context Help Contents opens Help window OK and Topic content can be selected and viewed.After installing EGit the Help window no longer shows at all and selecting any topic in the Help pane is an empty page. Hello everyone,I tried to create an STM project using existing .ioc files from my friend. They suggested choosing the Migrate option, but unfortunately, it didn’t work for me. For context:I’m using Windows.The same migration process works perfectly on Mac.When I open the main code, I only see the basic template code that appears when starting a new project—all the code from my friend has disappeared.I’ve already tried reinstalling the STM software, but that didn’t help either.Has anyone encountered this issue or can suggest a workaround?Thanks in advance for your help! 

My application use lots of RAM, I'm concern about the stack memory. The RAM size is  128KB,from 0x20000000 to 0x20020000. Form the linker script (.ld) file, _Min_Heap_Size = 0x200; /* required amount of heap */ _Min_Stack_Size = 0x400; /* required amount of stack */ Use "Build Analyzer" to check Memory Details, it says "._user_heap_stack  Run Address  0x2000d160     1.5K ". But when I run the debugger, SP starting at 0x20020000; when call functions it goes to 0x2001ffe8; 0x2001ffe0... My question are: 1. The ._user_heap_stack  Run Address should be 0x2001FA00  (size 0x400 + 0x200 ==>0x600), end at 0x20020000.  2. During debugging, I can use SP to view the stack pointer address. How can I view Heap address? 3. Stack area should be from  0x2001FC01 to 0x20020000; and heap area is from 0x2001FA00 to 0x2001FC00?     If stack overflow, it will corrupt heap area data?  

how to setup manually freertos without errors ?

Fresh install of stm32cube1.9.0 (onto a Windows 10 64-bit system). This older-than-current version needs to be used (at least at first) to avoid issues in resurrecting an old project (from when1.9.0 was current).The default install path (from the application's installer) was overridden (to C:\ST\STM32CubeIDE_1.9.0\).I believe I am having a problem with the internal (to STM32CUBEIDE) value assigned to it's PATH variable (see below), however, I do not know how to update this internal PATH value to help the IDE find make.exe (which was installed in the system during the installation of the IDE overall.)A small (C-language) test program was created and an attempt made to build it, resulting in the following error:-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------12:06:22 **** Build of configuration Debug for project test1 ****make allCannot run program "make": Launching failed Error: Program "make" not found in PATHPATH=[C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.9.0/

I have TrueStudio and STM32CubeIDE 1.17.0 installed in OS Win10, it works fine for my current project.But our cooperation will update the OS to Win11. The TrueStudio and STM32CubeIDE 1.17.0 will automatically work for Win 11 OS? or should I reinstall it?

i am trying to install cube-ide on my RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) ,whenever i try to install that i found that a folder is creating and once i go through the instructions and accepting licenses the folder is automatically deleting and causing an error like no matches found Can anyone tell me how to resolve this issue

Hello,I am working with the STM32N6570-DK board and using STM32CubeIDE (version 1.19.0) .I cloned the full STM32N6 repository from:  https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeN6 When I try to build and flash the Ux_Device_Video project, I face a problem: I right-click on the Ux_Device_Video→ Debug As → it flashes successfully, but the program never reaches  main(). (Normally in every program the debugger points to first line in main).When I press Run, the debugger only executes a few assembly lines like below and stays there:What I observed in Debug Configurations (screenshot attached):For all other example projects, the Debugger tab looks normal , and in this project even FSBL  flashing good and stops at main and behaves as expected.But for Ux_Device_Video, I see an additional “Load Mode” section (highlighted in my screenshot).
